This item came into being to solve the lack of options for pool owners.
If you want to backwash the SandFilter Pool pump and have the water away from your yard, you can use the Intex Pool Pump Hose to Garden Hose Coupler.
Warning Verify The Pump Pressure when draining or backwashing the pump. Remove any Hose Kinks and knots Before Proceeding.
This is a 3D printed part tested to fit the Intex pool Hose 1.5 Inch and your average garden hose.
The part is well built and should last a long time if you take care of it.
Just the Plastic Coupling is for sale.
In addition if you use a garden hose or more coiled up in conjunction with two of these you could attempt to heat up the pool water if you have a good metal hot box. However the water flow will diminish and you may have to run the pump a lot longer. if you have two pumps then things improve dramatically because you can use the sand filter pump to do the cleaning and you can use a small inexpensive pump to attempt to heat up the pool water with one or more garden hoses.
