Spigot X Barb Adapter For Layflat and Oval Hose This spigot x barb insert adapter is commonly used with layflat or oval hose. The barb insert connection fits inside the layflat or oval hose and requires clamping to secure in place. The spigot end is the equivalent of a male PVC connection, meaning the outside diameter of the spigot end is the same size as the outside diameter of the PVC pipe of the same nominal size, thus requiring a slip (socket) PVC fitting to connect the two. Notes: The 1 1/2" fitting is a standard Schedule 40 PVC fitting; sizes 2" - 6" are UV protected materials; the 8" fitting is not UV protected material. Sizes 2" - 8" are rated for standard irrigation layflat hose PSI ratings.
